Course Overview

This course is currently in development. The text below is placeholder information and will be updated before launch.

H2S Unaccompanied is a planned course designed to provide workers with focused training on working safely around hydrogen sulfide (H2S) in industrial environments. The final course will be built around Alaska Industrial Academy's practical, Alaska-focused approach to hazard recognition, safe work practices, and emergency response.

This course is one of the three required courses in the AIA – CITS Course program. Workers must complete CITS HAZWOPER, H2S Unaccompanied, and Confined Space Entry to be eligible for a CITS card issued by Alaska Industrial Academy.

Course writing and design are still in progress. Specific topics, modules, and learning outcomes are being finalized and will be published once development is complete. Until then, this page serves as a placeholder so employers and workers can see that an H2S Unaccompanied course is planned and coming soon. For current H2S training options or to discuss your company's requirements, please contact Alaska Industrial Academy directly.
